Though this role earned an immense amount of fame, she was of the opinion that portraying the image as Mary Camden as a good actress would restrict her acting ability. To break the image she appeared partially clothed for the cover picture in Gear magazine. Jessica's behavior caused a lot of fan furore. She quit 7th Heaven at the end of its sixth season. In the movie Ulee's Gold, she gained immediate recognition for her outstanding acting. This movie won her the prize for best Supporting Female actor. Summer Catch, her comedy film, showcases her impressive acting talents. Despite her brilliant performance, Rules of Attraction was not a big hit. The horror film The Texas Chainshaw Massacre brought her into the spotlight by the media. She also has experience in suspense and thriller films.
