Awkwafina

Awkwafina started out as an American performer and rapper, performing sly tunes that dealt with topics like racial or sexual identities with a funny twist. Before expanding to Hollywood her career, she had the opportunity to perform a variety of tracks. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents in Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was her first instrument. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop education began when she was just a teenager. While in school, she concentrated on the field of journalism as well as women's studies. She also studied Mandarin during a time in Beijing. After graduation, she begin to concentrate on music. The song My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity via the Internet in 2012. The track was later included on her first album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. The album also contained were other viral hits including Queef (body-positive) as well as NYC Bitche$. The latter track connected directly with another Awkwafina project NYC A travel guide that was released in 2015. As a musician and an author on her resume she determined to pursue an actor for a third venture. In addition to early series that included Girl Code and Tawk - she appeared in movies Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed an array of noteworthy performances, which included Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. She released the EP,"In Fina We Trust in June of the year.
