Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American stage actress and producer, has been known for her roles in the feature film Ray Undercover Brother as well as on The Mentalist. She graduated with a BA from Brown University in African-American Studies. The Tisch school of the arts, New York University she received an MFA. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is a writer and American actor who is active in theater as well as television and film. She began her acting career as a theater actress and then appeared in numerous shows on television as well as independent and mainstream movies. Her most well-known roles were as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as on BET's epic The Book of Negroes. The series both received critical acclaim, but she also took home a variety of prizes. She made her professional debut in the role of Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. She has performed as a character on Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted by her performances as a character in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. She is also well-known for her character on ABC's crime drama High Incident.
